I shoot with a Canon EOS 10D, which I love very much, but lately looked at
some shots taken with the Konica-Minolta Dynax 7D and find them very
different to my own shots. The colours in the KM 7D seem much warmer and the
shots have a character and tone about them which is almost film-like. I
thought some shots looked sort of cartoon-ish, but the colour algorithm is
so wonderful in this camera, one can easily overlook that. Maybe it's not as
sharp as the Canons and Nikons, but it's a nice bit of kit nonetheless.
Anyone have any opinions on the camera and maybe offer any advice to a
prospective buyer? Yeah, I know it's 'old', but it's always going to be a
great camera.

Don't know what "advice to a prospective buyer" you're looking for
exactly, but Minolta sold their digital camera business to Sony. The Sony
Alpha is a Minolta design. If you're looking for a new camera, suggest you
start there.

A bit late: I suggest you learn to process your images and you can make the
color look like whatever you want, particularly if you shoot raw.

When you say 'process the images', what exactly do you mean? Software maybe?
If yes, 'which software? Where can I get some tuition in this area?

Thanks.
