Hello, I suppose this is my introduction.  I have been a hobbyist
photographer for a long time, but with the purchase of an Olympus dSLR
2 years ago, I've been pursuing it with a bit more passion.

I joined the list just for some support I suppose, and I am certainly
looking forward to all of the resources!  I recently tried my hand at
web design as well (I am a do-it-yourselfer to the extreme) and here
is the result:  www.wrightnowphoto.com

I've mainly played with landscapes, seascapes and still lifes, but am
beginning to branch out, having done my first couple "human" photo
sessions last week.  If anyone has any insight to share regarding that
branch of the business, I'd love it!  Also, if anyone has any advice
regarding consents and things like that for photographing people (and
perhaps using images on the website) I'd love any information.

I live in Port Hadlock WA on a sailboat and my camera lives in a
backpack that goes with me everywhere.  I'm busy in school (for
nursing) and work (at a hospital) but I love taking pictures.  Someday
I'd love to fit a photography class into my college schedule; we'll
see if that EVER happens.

I look forward to meeting you all and definitely look forward to
future interactions!

Thanks,

Sarah Wright

Welcome to the group, Sarah.

I look forward to reading future posts from you.  If there is a problem or
concern you need help with, the more specific you are in your post, the more
helpful the replys will be.

Take Care,
Dudley

Thanks Dudley!  I appreciate the welcome!  It's already easy to tell
you guys are a friendly bunch.  And thanks for the heads-up; I will be
more specific, both in my message body and the subject line (as you
will see momentarily)  <VBG>

Thanks!!

Sarah

I'm down in Aberdeen. Back in 2006, we took a trip around the loop and
stayed in Port Hadlock one night (@ the Hadlock Motel). We visited both
Fort Flagler and Fort Warden...hope to return to that area some day. We
didn't realize that Fort Warden was so huge. It's a pretty part of the
state.

It is a beautiful area!  I love it.  Most of my photos are taken there
at the marina.  I am truly lucky.  Nice to meet you!
