Instead of being a whiner why don't you post something nice about

I can only assume that you received some flak in response to your
earlier posting in which you presented the link to your portfolio
website.

I have to say, with all due respect, that if this is why you're
choosing to post a rant - aren't you being a little unrealistic? I
mean, what do you expect in a public newsgroup or internet forum?
Ignore the BS, and pay attention to the posts that have merit.

And maybe lay off the caffeine a little.

Learn to use the software to remove pests before entering your
computer. If you are fortunate enough to use Windows XP you can ,
under Message/Create Rule delete them. The human detritus in this

I didn't look at your site before, but now I have.  The Flash slideshow
is a PITA, it makes navigation really sluggish and inflexible.  A lot of
the pictures look like pretty ordinary snapshots.  You have a tendency
to put the horizon in the middle of the frame - generally this doesn't
work well (I won't say it never works - I've seen some very good shots
with the horizon in the middle, but they tend to be the exception).  
Also you should really think about using a level on the camera if you
can't set it straight.  You say "Light plays such a large part in how a
photograph will turn out that sometimes I have had to take many trips to
the same subject to observe how the light falls on it" but there's
little evidence of that in many of the shots.

Quite interesting as both my personal Sig here and my business sig
clearly indicate I am British and based in the UK.  Had he looked at my
web site (nothing to do with photography) he would have seen we are most
defiantly UK based and have no connection with the US.

However his whole demeanour and standard of reply leaves me to conclude
that not only are his pictures and web site of low quality but as a
person he is a complete tosser.

Seasons Greetings to all of you  except Mr Nicholson and all Cannon
users who are going to rot in hell for being subverted by the dark side
not using Gods Own Nikon :-)

Please provide some evidence for your alegations.  We can not find any. 
 
I don't think I have replied to you much if at all.  The Internet Usenet
Groups (which we have been using for some 18 years) are, except for the
moderated ones, quite free flowing and you take the rough with the
smooth. I note that many of your posts are less than polite. Some would
say insulting.   So you are apparently accusing me, erroneously, of
behaviour you  indulge in yourself.
 
I have just had a quick look at your web site for the first time and the
pictures are OK but I have not make any comments on them publically. 
Though I note you have made several public posts to the NG asking for
public criticism of your work... however you have become quite insulting
to anyone who does not praise the work.
 
I suggest that the cut and thrust of an Internet Usenet  newsgroup is
not the forum for you.
 
Your threat of legal action has been duly noted and is of little
interest to me.  You are free to pursue any course you like however this
sort of threat we regard as abuse and have forwarded it to the gmail
abuse team.  should any IP address be blocked I think you will find it
will be yours for threatening behaviour.
