I've got a second-hand EOS1D on it's way to me but without any memory.
I'm looking at buying a GB of memory, possibly as two 500MB CF cards.
What recommendations do readers have in this respect?
Manufactures, 4x, 8x 16x 32x speed etc, UK suppliers? That sort of thing.

When I checked around a monthor so ago http://www.crucial.com/uk/index.asp
were the cheapest for 1Gb (2 x 512mb)
Check their prices and also www.7dayshop.com  Crucial deliver next day if
that helps.

Yes but check it will work with your camera first! I know that they don't
work with the 300D.

If you want loads of storage, buy a nuvo2 Mp3 player (around ?220), take out
the Hitachi 4GB Microdrive and use that.  Instructions at

300D owner myself so that's the 2.2G out the window but that Hitachi one
looks a good deal.
