Hi,

Have and EOS 3 but want to do some golf pictures soon but i feel that it may
be to noisy. Can anyone suggest an EOS body which is very quiet. I was
thinking that the EOS 30/33 or EOS 50/55 might be good. I would rather go
for the 50 as it is a lot cheaper and will only normally be used as a
back-up.

Also, any idea how the above compare to the D30 in terms of noise.

Thanks

Andrew

Certainly when I've been out using my EOS 50 E alongside a friend using his
EOS D30, the D30 seems significantly quieter, primarily due to the lack of
noise from not requiring the film advance on the D30

I have a (prehistoric) EOS RT which is very quiet and quick (it lacks a
moving mirror).

Off topic, but did you know the "D30" is the name of a Soviet 122mm
artillery piece?, so it's bound to be noisy!

The two that they made with the fixed mirrors are the quietest.  The 5
is the next quietest Id say.  I am just back from some golf and used
1's and 5's quite happily.
