It’s not that long ago that Kodak announced they were closing one of their
processing plants and I think it was then that it hit me that Digital was
here to stay and indeed take over from film.
I was particularly concerned when I found my Minolta lenses would not fit the
new Minolta digital cameras – how wise Canon and others were to ensure that
theirs did.
And so I’m now a Canon man and I furthered my interest in photography
generally when I formed the Caston Camera Club and my goodness how well that
has done. We are the friendliest bunch of people you might wish to meet and
despite Caston being a small Norfolk village 3 miles south of Watton just off
the A1075, with a population of no more than 450, we have 75 members some of
whom travel up to 30 miles to get to us. And we’ve reached these dizzy
heights in under three years.
We run regular courses that have been extremely successful where we teach
PhotoShop and PhotoShop Elements and we have a studio at our disposal where
we teach Portrait Photography
We take great pride also in celebrating the work of our members which can be
seen at http://www.castoncameraclub.co.uk There’s a warm welcome waiting for
anyone who lives within striking distance to call in and see us. I'm proud
to say that despite the larger than average membership I still know everyone
by face and by name.

Hi Briannie,
I was part of this club awhile ago before I had to move
to pastures new, and what Briannie states below is perfectly true. A really
friendly and professional club run by dedicated people fully committed to the
members. All the meetings were conducted to the highest standards to the
benefit of all the members beginers through to experts all sharing their
images, experience and knowledge..... again a great club for all........ Well
done Briannie
