As compact flash will write quicker then SDHC I would see no reason to use
Them Get a 133x CF card and indecently The 9600 cant use the faster sd cards
according to Fuji.

The simple answer is "no", although some may work I suppose.
The converter isn't a dumb device, it has to understand the
SD format just like a SD card reader. It's unlikely that the
established converters will work with SDHC - for exactly
same reason old card readers don't.

OK, I was trying to keep to one card format only but I guess CF is the
way forward with this camera.
