Does anyone know what has happened to Daniel Rocha?

I looked forward to his weekly posting here in this group of his "Photo of
the Week" but haven't seen one posted in about 2 months.

It seemed there were others that looked forward to it also and made replies
to his postings.

Just curious, hope all is well with him.

Daniel previously had problems with his ISP blocking his postings
because they had the appearance of spam - more or less the same
subject line posted every week.  I wonder if this is the same problem?

Thanks for asking, I was wondering that, too. The last picture of the
week is November 19th:-

I've e-mailed him to say we miss him.

You'd better put up with my picture of the week - Liverpool, not Paris!

That is a beautiful photograph.... love it. I really like the lighting and
the reflections.. I am a Teaching Assistant at a local college in the
Photography Dept. One assignment the beginners all get is to photograph "A
Touch Of Light"... This would be a perfect example.

Thanks for sharing.

Looks like you have become the 'official' 'picture of the week' photographer
until the return of Daniel Rocha.  Love the colours in the water!

He probably got fed up with that pillock that posts about a million
times a day about MI5.

It's a shame something doesn't get done about him - it's ruining so
many .uk newsgroups at the moment, especially for those of us whose
ISPs don't run news servers, so we have to live with Google Groups,
which doesn't allow killfiling.

Hey ho.

You don't 'have' to live with Google. There's plenty of usenet services
around but you have to pay for them. You get what you pay for - if you want
free access you have to put up with the crap. Personally, I use gradwell.net
which I'm happy to recommend (no I don't work for them). They charge less
than £30/year for usenet access and you don't have to buy anything else off
them..
