Hi,
I've recently received a load of medium format film but it is due to
expire at the end of this month. The person folks who sent it to me
say it's been stored in a fridge and therefore if I keep it in the
fridge it will last longer.
Does this seem right to you guys? How long can I expect it to last if
I keep it cool?
Thanks,
Neoil

It should be as good as when it was stored or nearly. Pros used to buy in
bulk and test until the colour was as they wanted then the film was wrapped
and sealed from moisture and stored at near 0 so that no further change
occurred

You can always tell a Yorkshire man,
But you can't tell him much.

Put it in an airtight bag and put it in the freezer - just make sure
when you want to use it that you give it 24hrs minimum at room temp to
let it thaw and dry out.
If you are talking pro film such as Vericolor then it should be good for
at least 12-18months, if it is amateur film such as Kodakolor or
Fujicolor then 3 years is not unreasonable.
...and by accident I speak from experience!
