Help!! Can anyone suggest a suitable Flash Gun that will work from Hot shoe
on S9600. Sofar I have not been able to find one.

You can not find a flash gun with a hot shoe ?

If you look on the Fuji web site you can download the manual which
will show you that you can use any single contact flashgun. What it
does NOT say is if it can handle the 200+ volts on the shoe of older
flashguns or if it has to be a modern 'digital compatible' 6V trigger.
Use the wrong one and it will damage the camera.
