I found these at an Asda store, less than two quid each.

They've got a silver side slightly dimpled, they look rather
useful. The reed side pretty cute as a background too.

I would like to see someone hold these up for more than 2 minutes.

Also, the fact that they are stiff only in one plane means that  they
will be virtually useless as reflectors.

Still, only £2.99 completely wasted.

As another cheap (£1)  alternative  try a Poundland store for the car
windscreen reflector at least there is a use for it if it doesn't suit

That's a good idea, Derek, because at least it has some strength and
is not too cumbersome to hold.  You can fold it/cut it in half to make
it more wieldy/lighter.

Didn't *my* suggestion have two possible uses ?

I suppose the idea of attaching it to something never occurred to you.

They're flexible, an advantage in some situations. Also you can fold
it/cut it in half to make it more wieldy/lighter.

It was £1.59 and it also acts as a beach mat !

There's no "also" about it.  It is a beach mat.  Full stop.
