Hi,
I am looking for, on behalf of my photography club, an easel of some
kind to put prints up on for a judge to see and make remarks about.
We have a home-brew 'thing' now but really want something a little more
'professional'.
I guess any kind of artists easel might do, but I wonder what other
people/clubs use? Ideally it should have a fairly large black backboard,
to isolate the print being viewed, and lights to illuminate the print.
We could make a backboard and light rig, but is there anything out there
ready to use?
The prints aren't going to be permanently or semi-permanently attached
like perhaps in a gallery, but just put up by hand for maybe 1 minute
then replaced by another.
Any thoughts re. source for something like this?
Regards, John

Some sort of exhibition display panels perhaps?

Our club uses an easel as you suggest, but with a dark grey backboard (which
I think was made by ourselves originally. For lighting the prints, we just
use our slide projector with a dummy slide consisting of a 2x2 mount with an
aperature about 1.5cm square in the middle of it. This produces far more
even lighting than lights mounted on the board itself.
