canon lens fault

Just went to the Canon site to find some scanenr drivers, saw the above,
thought it may be useful to post it here.

This has been known about from well over a year, and only affects the
very earliest production samples of this lens, the EF 24-105mm f/4L.

All owners of the affected lens would have been contacted **in 2005**
under a recall programme run by Canon UK and in other contries.
