Just bought a Fuji S5600.

I need to buy some a Xd card for it not but looking on the net there are
different types, the M/H and the M or H.
The current 16mb card doesnt say what it is and Fuji support is closed till
Monday so does anyone have any ideas what i should be buying?

Thanks Pat

Oh and one more thing.

How much can I put in? Will a 2GB card work?

The big cards should work with a new camera. According to some reviews, the
faster type H cards don't make much difference but it may depend on the
camera. I wouldn't pay much extra.

Yes, they are good. As for the cards, I'm happy with my Fuji branded
one, which, for some strange reason, was around £5 cheaper than the
Olympus one, even though they are identical - they are even made in the
same factory, but have different labels and ads on the packaging -  see
if you can compare the two types, they are identical.
These were the cheapest when I bought one a year ago:

And of course, the price has stayed the same, yet the storage capacity
has doubled in that year too! Still, my 512mb is good enough for me.

Fuji and Olympus XD cards are not identical.

Olympus XD cards support the panoramic feature available in some
Olympus digicams.  Fuji XD cards do not support this feature, although
they are in all other respects compatible with Olympus digicams.

However, the Olympus cards are fully compatible with Fuji digicams.

1Gb H from Fuji ,  £11 from Amazon

Fuji suggests the S5600 is OK to use with the 2Gb M type.

Thank you guys, your helps been invaluable. I have just ordered a 1GB card
from Amazon (£5 postage YIKES)

Dont know how many pics that will get me on a 5.1mp camera but I am sure I
will soon find out.??

I dont know why but it seems a better quality pic that 2 others I have tried
this week alone. I went to Asda who do a 28 day return no quibble policy and
I tried their Casio 7.2mp E70. Nice to hold but I thought the piccy quality
wasnt much. Then I tried a Ricoh R5 and although it was a better pic than
the E70 I just dont know if it was THAT much better for the price. I just
couldnt get on with it. Then I bought their Fuji s5600 and love it. I feel
and perhaps its because I am uneducated in camera things that the pictures
were better then the Ricoh and Casio's. I much prefer the Fuji but as I am a
novice I will probably have got it wrong.

My father in law is looking for a Digital camera and has about £200 to
spend. Does anyone have any suggestions whats the best one to get for
picture quality for £200?

Thanks again peeps Pat
