In my Nikon days I used Fixation, who are staffed with ex-Nikon UK
technicians. One of the owners was Nikon UK's service manager for
some years. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Fixation's knowledge and experience of Nikon gear is unsurpassed in
the UK. Their charges are fair, but not cheap, although they are
probably cheaper than Nikon UK - and a whole lot faster.

You're welcome.
I should have added that Fixation are officially approved by Nikon UK
and can carry out any work needed under warranty.

Yup, I read that bit on their site.
They may well have been one of the places that Nikon had listed, but
with just a name and address but no web link there was nothing to set
them apart from the other places I hadn't heard of.

Totally agree.
My and my newspaper's experience with servicing on so-called "Pro"
schemes at Nikon UK has been less than favourable - I've had kit
returned in a worse condition than when it went.
Fixation, on the other hand, have been excellent.

Neil,
It was you who recommended me to go to Fixation. That was a few years
ago, about the time they started servicing Canon equipment, although
at the time I was still using Nikon gear.
I just wanted to say thank you for the advice. I never regretted
taking my Nikon gear there, and knowing Fixation also serviced Canon
gear made it easy for me to change brands.
Fixation have never once let me down. They are totally professional
and always exceed my expectations.
Best regards,
Tony

That's a URL to keep handy. And I don't even use Nikon. Yet.

It is just as handy if you use Canon.

The Burton Mail hardly qualifies as a newspaper.

Thanks again to you guys for recommending Fixation. They did the job
very efficently and at a reasonable price.

You're welcome. Having changed from Nikon to Canon I find Fixation
are equally good at looking after my Canon gear.
