I recently purchased a Hitachi HDC-831ER 8.1MPX Digital Camera. The problem
is, when I take a photo, the display on the LCD is very fuzzy with green
colourful blobs on it. Also, when I got back to look at the photograph, it
still remains with fuzzy green blobs. I've looked into it and it would
appear that this may have something to do with the White Balance settings?
When taking the photos, I had the White Balance set on auto. Nonetheless, I
have changed it to manual, took a photo of a white object within the photo
but it still remains in green fuzzy blobs in part (mainly on dark red
colours).

Any suggestions?

Take it back and get it exchanged. It sounds like the sensor is faulty
nothing to do with White balance
