Rechargeables v. lithiums in Canon A95?

Hello,

I've been using rechargeable batteries in my Canon A95, and a set of 4
x AAs seems to last a week or more. I'm wondering, though, whether
lithium batteries would be likely to last as long, as they're
considerably lighter. Is there a right/wrong answer?

Many thanks for any help.

Turn the screen off and use the viewfinder - the batteries will last
yonks longer.

Thanks, but which will last longer? Rechargeable or lithium? I don't
use the screen much, and I take the camera on camping trips so battery
weight is a real issue.

Thanks!

Lithium. Rechargeable self-deplete.

I have had an Olympus C5050 since 9/03 and I'm still on only my fourth
set of Lithiums. I use it a lot but only have two seconds post-view
and otherwise rarely use the screen. Last seen at £5.49 for four from
