I've got some negative images that are on glass. So, effectively,
instead of negatives on film, they are on glass about 1/16" thick.

I've just got a regular scanner, with basic scanning programme.

How do I scan?

I put glass on scanner, put on top of that white sheet of paper, then
close scanner lid, but all I got was dark image. Light in scanner must
not be reflecting back from all area of the glass.

TIA.

No you need a scanner with a light in the lid to project the image as you
would with an enlarger. and scan with the emulsion facing the glass or you
may get Newton's rings or such. You can mirror in the edit software
