I am a digital photgraphy newbie and I quite fancy the Sony Cybershot DSC
P200 but not too sure about the Sony proprietary Memory Stick.
They seem a lot dearer than e.g. SD memory but I may put up with that if
there are no other downsides.
I am wondering are outfits like Boots likely to have Memory Stick compatible
readers, if I don't want to use my own photo printer?
Any other Memory Stick downsides? (Availability of replacements in Tibet?
;-)
TIA

I have had no memory stick problems at all. My laptop has a card reader
which takes SD or Memory stick in the same slot; the printer is the same.
My Palm is the only gadget I have which takes SD but not memory stick.
When I wanted a larger one, it was no problem to source and it wasn't
horrendously more expensive than other media - plus you know that your
sony memory stick with work in your sony camera - I've had several
compatibility problems with SD cards in the past.
Cheers,

I use a 2.2gb CF Flash and 1gb Memory stick in my DSC-F828, no problems with
either of them. I recorded mainly video to the memory stick and it works a
treat.
