I think you need a touch off fill in flash to lighten up the eyes, at a
ratio of about five to one, this will lift the pictures and put a catchlight
in the eyes. Nice albumn type shots with good quality but nothing out of the
ordinary.
Good that they were in Black and white also. Long live mono.
