I purchased a second hand 20D that has seen a bit of wear
and tear. It's missing the bottom battery cover and therefore
won't power on without a bit of fiddling around.
(I have taped part of a matchstick over the microswitch in
the battery compartment to check it works.)
Now, where do I get a new battery cover. I called Canon UK
who gave me the run around: Oh you'll need the part number, hang
on I'll pass you over to technical, there's a dealer who
handles domestic users....
Eventually they won and I gave up, hence the question here.
Given that the battery covers are detachable, for when you fit
an add-on unit, there must be a call for replacements.
Anyone know?
Pete
