Projectors for digital photos

Hi

I am new to the group, so forgive me if I am asking a previously covered
question.

Having converted to digital from slides I want to be able to project my
still images onto a screen for "slide shows", etc.  Although there are lots
of recommendations in mags, etc. for projectors for home cinema, there seem
to be very few for good projectors for still images.

Does anyone have any recommendations (looking in price range 1-1.5K!)?

Thanks
Richard

I'm interested in this as well, having spent many hours projecting slides on
a screen.  Can't help other than advising that you make sure you know the
price of a spare bulb before purchasing.

You need a VGA projector - which can cost anything between about £600
and £2000 or more. Some are big, some are quite small. I have used a
Sony and a Sharp and found them both good. You then drive the
projector with your PC, using some sort of show software, or you can
import the pictures into Powerpoint and use that to make the slide
show.

If all you need is a bigger screen, dump the pictures in jpg format
onto a CD (note NOT a DVD) and get a DVD player. Almost all will will
show jpg pictures on a TV screen, some have an auto-changer (i.e.
slide show) facility. It's certainly a cheaper option as a start!
