Hi guys, I'm new to digital photography and am looking to purchase a digital
camera. I have a budget of ?200 and would like your opinions on what I
should but.
I would like the following features;
zoom lens
optical viewer
and something that looks and feels like a camera!
Thanks

I'm always recommending my Olympus C725, so this time I'm not even going to
mention it.

How zoomy a zoom?
BTW watch out for "digital zoom". That tends to mean "We cut the edges
off the picture, so when you look at it full screen it's bigger. Kind
of fuzzy, but bigger". I can do that on my PC later!

I'm not sure, I know not to be swayed by digital zoom, perhaps x3 or x4.

Some day quite soon, i'm sure some of the older DSLRs (Canon D30, Olympus
E10) will be available on eBay for sub-?300. Hold fire 'til you have enough
money for one of those.
I recommend the E10 highly, and i've seen photography books shot with D30s.
