When I take picture the screen goes black and stays black for 5-6 secs. I
think it is while the flash is re-charging.
When I shoot without flash it still seems to take a long time for the live
picture to return.
Any tips on how to set it up to make it faster.
Cheers Jaz

Thats the camera actually saving the picture. No way to speed that up

A faster flash card (whatever the camera uses) may help.  Or not.

I don't think it is...my A75 does not blank the screen while writing to
the flash card.

Are you sure you have good batteries?

I have a Canon A75, and it does not blank the display for very long at
all, perhaps half a second or so. Perhaps the batteries are weak? I'm
using good 2300mAH NiMH cells and flash recharge time is very quick.
