What is the differance between a SD card and a Multimedia card. My Canon
A510 can use either.

Thanks in advance for your help.

SD memory is faster, and can be locked (prevent overwriting)  with a tab on
the side of the card.  MMC is older memory type and slower... can cause
problems for movie mode recording, and slow down single pictures by waiting
to write to the card..
