We have had the s30 for 2 1/2 years and we love it. Just this weekend it
started making a clicking sound as the lens extends and retracts. I am
pretty much ready to pitch it since a replacement costs $170 and to repair
the camera is $155 plus tax, but I noticed that there are a bunch of screws
missing from the camera and all of the others are loose. Where could I get
replacement screws? Any ideas?

Directly from Canon? That would probably be your best bet.

You might find a dealer with a written off unit who could let you strip
some screws. However there may be some internals detached and you would
have to get to the inside to reposition them before fitting the screws.
I'd just keep using it till it dies, then replace it. the way things are
going it will be even cheaper soon
