how I put a custom border around a headshot?

HI

I already know how to resize the pic and add the canvas for border
around the headshot.. how i can add a custom border around the
headshot?  something different than the white canvas border?

Companies like Extensis publish filters that can add all sorts of
borders.

Note that, except in certain limited concepts, adding borders in
Photoshop is a dead giveaway that an amateur worked on the image.  You
should never add borders to anything that you plan to actually put on
paper as a photo print.

Yeah, I never even liked the darkroom techniques for putting frames
around photographic prints. But that aside...

If you want to take a look at some of the plugin packages available to
do that go to www.publishingperfection.com and check out the Photoshop
plugins that are available (or get a copy of their catalog).
