We are planning a trip to Ireland. Does anyone know of any photo
restrictions or maybe some pertinant tips they would like to share?
Please email me along with response to newsgroup.
Thanks,
Russ

I've photographed in Ireland many times and the only restrictions I can
think of were in the National Gallery and I'm not even sure of those. I
don't think you can take photos in the gallery.
In Northern Ireland you couldn't take pictures of police or military
installations or police or army personnel
Make sure that you have some kind of water proof covering for your
camera. Oh yea, bring lots of film.

I never encountered any difficulty whatever on two separate trips. Mind you, I
never visited Northern Ireland, nor spent much time in any real museums or
galleries. I spent most of my time squishing about ruins and other places off
the beaten path.
Bring a lot of film. Ireland is a photogenic country.
