I am doing some portrait and wedding photography. It is my intent to
release the digital picture files to the subject so they can go and
get their own prints made. I really do understand the pros and cons
of this action. The question I have is how to go about making a
release for this action. I do intend to retain the overall copyright.
How should I word the release so the subjects won't have a problem
getting the printing done? Thanks!

It's not a release, it's a license (or a transfer of rights if you're
giving up the copyright). I'd give you the text I use, but some lawyer
would probably try to sue me for doing so.

I am not a lawyer but I did stay at a Holiday Express once! If you
want to email me your wordage, I would appreciate it.
