Glacier National Park

I'm planning a family vacation to Glacier National Park in early August. We plan on doing some serious photography and I'd be interested in any thoughts that the group may have.

After reading the guide Photo Travelers Guide to Glacier national Park I was think of spending 2 nights in the Apgar, Lake McDonald area and 3 nights in the Many Glacier, St. Mary's region.

I'd be interested to know about places to stay, things to avoid, must see locations, what ever I might need to know to make this a great trip.

I know this is a very general request but would appreciate any comments the group may have

I wrote quite a bit of info on May 7, 2003 under a threat titled
"Glacier National Park." You may want to look at that as well as other
info previously posted.
