Thinking about going on a trip to these states to shoot some foliage.
Where should I go and approximately when? Any other suggestions
appreciated!

thanks!

The Keweenaw Penisula in Upper Michigan is great.

Big Bay is another: http://www.bigbayonline.com/.  A great place to
stay can be found at: http://up.greatviews.info

The TV news stated that northern MN was "near peak" last weekend. I
went up to near Lutsen on Saturday, and most of the colors were pale
yellow. So the bright orange and red colors are close, but not there.
I would think next weekend might be good, although the weather this
week is supposed to be quite warm so a midweek trip a little further
west off the lake migh be good. (I've heard that futher west of Lake
Superior has turned sooner.)

In the last 48 hrs or so, the color has exploded around the Twin
Cities, so anything from here on north ought to be fantastic this
weekend....good weather too.

Sorry For The Late Reply. Things are pretty much at the peak in the
lower part of Michigan and past peak in the UP and upper lower peninula
but still some great shots available right now. Weather has been very
sunny yet cool making for some great colors and vibrant pictures.
