I own a MN 679 Manfrotto Monopod.

I would like to increase its versatility by using the Universal Adapter (MN
678) which can be attached to the base to turn it into a tripod.

Has anyone used this combination, and can they comment on its stability
etc.?

The alternative is to buy a tripod as well but that is just more to carry!

Any observations appreciated.
