I would love to get hold of a USB 35mm slide viewer. (combination of a
slide viewer and a webcam?) Does anyone know if these exist? I am
looking to view on screen and take a quick low res snap of 4,500
slides so that I can decide which to feed through my slide scanner.

Any info gratefully received

get a slide projector and a cheap digicrap.
Project on screen and shoot them with the digicrap, then download the
digicrap photos to the computer.
Some higher end digicrap can be fitted with an optional slide adapter,
somewhat automating the process.
