Quantum Q flash

When using a Quantum Q Flash and a turbo battery how long should the battery
hold up for. The specs say that it can take some 200 full flashes but how
many hours will the battery last? Will a battery survive 8 hours and
shooting 200 flashes or is this asking too much from the battery. This
assuming that the battery is on during the 8 hours time.Or is 4 hours more
of an expected time limit?

Anyone out there shooting with one?

I usually shoot about 200 plus pics at the weddings I do. I exclusively
use one Turbo, thats at least 6 hours of shoot time or more like eight.
I usually have juice to spare after a previous full 12 hour charge.

I have a Turbo Z and my wife just got a Turbo C battery. We don't have the
Quantum flash but instead use Canon 550EX flashes and these go into a
power-down mode if you haven't used them in a (programmable) while. Not sure
if your flash has this power-saving mode or not, so not exactly the same
situation, but with what we use the battery doesn't seem to discharge much when
it's turned on but not being used much. So I'd think you'll be OK.

Thanks Gregory,

When does your Check Turbo indicator come on? Mine came on around 180
flashes and 5-6 hours and have to reset by turning off/on. I was just
wondering if this was normal operation. I continued up to over 240 flashes
in 8 hours with exhausting last green led on batttery but Red led is still
on so therefore I quess I could shoot a little more.

I don't think I ever remember it doing so. I also turn the battery off
if there's a lull in the action.I also am using a single shot SQAi ....
don't know if that's a factor of not.
