Fiber optic Light source like one use on microscope illumination ?

FWIW:

I have three "microscope illuminators" that I use for macro work. They work really well
for that, but are *not* daylight balanced unless used with a filter.

Slide projector, with a pinhole as the image.

Hey, that's a clever idea--but are slide lamps daylight balanced?

Pacem!

No, but you could add a filter, if you need accurate colours. You might
also experiment with a cluster of pinholes...

That is what Kaiser and Novoflex make. Kaiser even has a fiber optic
ringlight module.

Depends on what kind of light is needed. A projector can produce a
pinpoit, a lightbox is a floodlight.

Usually studio flash directed through fibre optics is used.  If you need a
continuous daylight source, I still think fibre optic is likely to be the
best 'delivery method' for the light.
