Replacing light seals on Mamiya Universal

I am replacing the light seals on the film backs for a Mamiya Universal.

I am using Foamex material that I cut into strips, but am wondering what kind
of joints or technique I should put/use at the corners to minimize light
leakage.

Thanks...

Jim

I haven't used Foamex so I don't know how it would lay down as you make the
turns.
The kind of joint you use really doesn't matter as long as they are tight.
