I have a 'blad 500CM with two older CT*-type lenses (1970s vintage). The
focusing rings are awkward enough to make me want to sell up- will the
quick-focusing handles change my mind? I've only seen them mail-order and
would like to know if they improve matters much.

They're wonderful, make all the difference in the world, worth every penny.
At least mine was on my silver late-60s vintage 80/2.8.

Yes, they help. You will probably find that you move the lever between
your fingers rather than holding it, which I find superior to having a
larger lens ring. Note that there are at least two different handle
lengths.

I used to use 'em for my 80mm & 150mm used 'em maybe twice and they
were too much of a pain in the a.s. Always got in the way.

It works best in the studio etc, when you are focusing at about the same
distance all the time. Make the handle point to the side, and using it
will be excellent. If you plan on using a handle all the time, it's a
different story. with a landscape or with a closeup, the handle will
poke out at a very different angle, and not all of these angles are very
practical...

Thanks all. At ?8 a pop, I think i'll give them a try. As for awkward
angles, hopefully with a 45deg prism I won't be poking myself in the eye...
