SL66 quick-release mounting question

Hello,

I am waiting for an used SL66 camera to fall in my hands in a matter
of few days. As for now, I am getting prepared to shoot the first
rolls of the film and have been wondering if the camera would feet my
tripod setup. At the moment I am using an Arca Swiss ball head with
its quick release and I am owning a few Kirk plates for Canon telefoto
lenses which [the plates] might be quite long and flexible (in the
meaning of loose screw shift) to be adjusted to SL66 body (as I'd
suppose).

What I actually do not know is if the screw thread of SL66 camera is
of the same diameter and step as, say, a standard 35mm camera's
mounting screw. And if I could actually conveniently use my quick
release fixing knob with a spread bottom of the camera.

 Thanks,

Serge

Older SL66's only take the "big" size screw. Later models SL66 (and
6000) take both. (using the big size is much better i.m.o.) Of course,
there are these small attachments available, that increase the small
screws diameter.

Don't know. what's probably more interesting is if the tilt mechanism
will work with your tripod. (when you want to tilt down....) A big
tripod-plate will prevent this.

There's a special rollei quick-release, that also acts like a spacer so
you can use the downward tilt more easily. Check Ebay, they're not rare
but wanted, and not cheap... (average $50 or so I guess) They can also
still be bought new, because the 6000 series uses the exact same
quick-release.
