hi,

i am looking for suggestions about camera bag.  do you often carry out
your tripod?  i want to do so and hence need a camera bag for the
job.  my tripod is a manfrotto 190Pro which is 56cm heigth and 1.9kg,
the tripod head is tree-way and i don't remember how weight it is.

in the camera bag, i hope i can put in a Rolleiflex 3.5 as well as a
Metz 45 CT-1 flashgun.

do you folks get any suggestion?  does the Lowepro/Domke/Tenba get one
suites me? thanks.

The most convenient solution that I've come up with is using a separate
bag for the tripod. I also have "hard" and "soft" camera cases that fit
either in the overhead or under the seat on airplanes. The tripod bag has
a shoulder strap that makes it easy to carry or tie to the camera bag or
case. You can find a pretty broad selection of these things on-line.

i've already got a tripod bag, maybe the Manfrotto 190Pro is too heavy
to be easily took out.

It seems I didn't understand your original question... sorry! I do take my
Manfrotto for on-location shoots, and the bag makes it a reasonable carry.
For me, the main "down side" is that I have to remove the handles from the
head to get it into the bag.

I also have a 3rd party bag. I think it's about as light as it will get.
For most daylight walking trips, I take an old tripod that has aluminum
channel legs and a simple pan head. It's as light as a monopod but a lot
sturdier.

I suspect that you could get by with a much lighter tripod than the
Manfrotto except when you are using your CT-1 mounted with the Rollei.

Manfrotto makes a strap, so head and everything can stay connected. A bag is
not neccessary

Aaahh finalyyyy  ;o))

I tried to delete some of my threads that came out strangely, but was not
allowed to.

I find a strap easier, as if you carry the tripod on the photo backpack, its
in the way every time you want to get something from the backpack.

I have found a photo backpack is the best solution, the tripod
attaches to the back of the pack.
