What does the "normal" mean on this lens?

It means to pull/slide the lens out and rotate in the direction of the arrow
to lock it into normal position. The front part of the lens will recess back
into the mounting ring for storage.

Thanks. Would you happen to know if it is a "retractable" lens made
especially for the back-movements of a Super 23?
