The websites don't list intended useage, so it's total guess work as to
the weight ratings of these things.  I have three tripods and I'd like
to add QR to all of them.  The heaviest camera I'll be using will be
the RZ67, with nothing longer than a 250mm lens.

Perhaps I'm missing something but the weight of a QR plate is tiny?
Which head(s) do you use on your tripods?

Acratech, RRS, Kirk, arca swiss heads can all use the same QR plates. I
use the one from kirk for my RB
(http://www.kirkphoto.com/newplate5p.html) with a Acratech ballhead. It
has 2 locating pins that go into the 2 holes on the base of the camera
which makes the whole setup really solid. A serious step up from
manfrotto/bogan stuff.

The best tripod heads are pricy but it's worth getting decent stuff
especially for heavy cameras like the RB/RZ.

Not the weight of the plate, the weight the plate can support--like
when you buy a tripod, it says, will support up to 25 pounds (or
usually a lot less than that).  And, I don't just need a plate, I need
the entire assembly.  I see from your link Kirk allows you to match the
plate to the exact camera--nice.  Thanks for pointing me there, I'll
check it out.
