My lens is: 80mm, SN Nr565xxxx, with a correctly fitting filter with
"Hasselblad/50" written on its rim.

Is the lens hood that will fit this is a "Bay 50" ?

I only ask because recently I was sent a "60/80 Hasselblad" after requesting
"Bay 50" and of course this 60/80 is too big.

I will keep you posted on what my "seller" decides to do - just in case
anyone else decides to purchase from this [dis?]honest seller...

Anyone else had troubles similar to this. (This was not through eBay, but
rather the company's website).

What about return postage, etc...?

Any help much appreciated!
Cheers
ML

the hood should be a 50 for a correct fit

Yes, I think 50/80 would be the right one too.
Thanks.

You might want to try pro shade. The variable bellow type.
It's much more effective and much more flexible.
