Pentax 67/6X7 55mm lens question

Does anyone know the difference between the 55mm F4 lenses and which
one is the superior glass?  I have read from some that there is no
difference, but many seem to say the newer version is the clearly
better and one of if not the very best lens in the entire Pentax 67
lineup.

Anyone want to chime in with their feelings before I blow too much or
can save some depending on which is clearly the one to buy based on
prints and not looking at the film on a big screen.

Thanks all!!!

I bought the SMC Pentax 67 1:4, as opposed to the 6X7.  I haven't been
able to compare the two, and I suspect that not many people have owned
both.  Some of the differences are listed at:

I use my 55mm a lot. It makes very nice 24"x30" prints, via Photoshop
and an Epson 7600. See my website, http://chasfs.com for some examples.
I like the 55mm more than the 45mm because it doesn't distort things
near the edges of the frame as much as the 45mm, though occasionally I
need the extra wideness of the 45mm.
