Does anyone know how to interpret the total number of exposures taken by
this camera by looking at the film counter? I think it's at the bottom of
the camera. For example, if the counter reads 1500, how many single
exposures is that? And what would be considered a high number of exposures?
Thanks for the helpful info.

I just checked my owner's manual on my 645Zi to get the answer for you.

First, on the Zi, the counter is not on the bottom as it is on the older
645 models or the 6X7 model rangefinder.  It's on the LCD display when
you press a combination of buttons and knobs.

The display will show three digits on the left, separated by a space and
two digits (always 00 to stand for hundreds) on the right.
So if it looks like 015 00, it means 1500 shots total.  030 00 would
mean 3000 total, etc.

Hope this helps.
