Is it such a hard thing  to offer advice and suggestions in this group?
Should  snide comments and ridicule for new people to the format be the
norm?  Some of us come from other formats. Don't be such an a.s when dealing
with questions.

At the risk of sounding snide, are you talking about someone in particular
or the group in general? You might consider sticking with a thread and
including the relevant parts of the original post.

You'll find most of the people here are kind and don't mind helping people
out. Of course there will be a few who need the ego boost they get from
attacking people. These people ussually don't stay around long and the main
person who attacked you just showed up here from the 35mm group last week
so I'm not real surprised at his responce. Think about what these same
people do in the 35mm group if someone who is a newvbie asks a simple
question? It's like chuming the water! Part of dealing with people on the
net, some are just total jackasses.

Hey Man, stay with the group and learn to use your kill filters.
It'll weed out the jerks, which are everywhere.

Welcome to the world of LF!

Some of the best advice I've been given in my life was from less than
ideal personalities.

Sometimes taking your own advice is a good thing. In other words maybe
you should know better.
