I believe that the internet will be the death of the English language!

As for some help to the original poster, do a search to come up with names
and addresses of people in the industry, learn to write an effective resume,
and put together some samples of your work to show why someone should hire
you. Alternatively, find someone who will hire you at a very low pay (or
zero money) so you can learn the business.

This may sound odd but I know a kid from India who wrote a post similar
this looking for a job in audio. He now makes twice as much as I do, a
f#*&ing lot of cash, working at a major studio in LA. He was good but
just really had no clue how to go about breaking in. Started out as an
intern by suggestion and went from there.
