I have to send my Polaroid 4000 dpi scanner in for an overhaul. I may pick
up a new Minolta dualscan IV to use while it is out. Do any of you have any
experience with this scanner?

Yes, I bought it for $269 and for the price it does a very good job. No ICE
so you will have to remove the dust particles on the scan yourself. The
software is not the greatest, I still use Adobe Photoshop to tweek the
scans.  Matt

Yes, I have the IV - I used to have the III, which I liked just fine,
but it had a mechanical problem of some sort, so I sold it.  I am
quite happy with the IV.  I use Vuescan 8.x under Mandrake Linux and
The Gimp to process scans.  Works a treat.

Best Regards,
