I have an old Folding Pocket Kodak camera that takes 122 format, which
is very large (3 1/4 X 5 1/2).  I've got one spool and I'm going to
fabricate another one (from brass).  I want to buy aerial film and
roll my own stock, but what could I use for backing paper?  I don't
want to use leftovers from 120 film, I'm looking for something I could
make fresh.  Any ideas?

Do a Google search for people selling 70mm aerial infrared film slit and
respooled as 120 and ask what they're doing for paper.

According to one site: "backing paper and plastic spools are recycled
from a high volume color photo lab"
So they don't make it.  Any ideas on how it's made?

Greetings Lal,

You may want to get in touch with Film For Classics.

http://www.filmforclassics.com

They may be able to help with that size.  I believe it is listed on their
site.  As you will note they do the respooling and will help you get
processing.

Good luck,

Nope, they develop 122, but haven't sold it for a while.  Any ideas on
how it's made?
