Got a problem with a Fuji Frontier 370 that's putting lines through
all its prints. They're fairly faint most of the time and run in the
direction of the *short* axis of a 4x6 print.
Fuji said the problem was the laser and two circuit boards (price for
these parts $15,000.00) but after replacing them the problem still
remains.
Perhaps somewhere in the collective consciousness of the Internet
there's someone who's seen this kind of problem before. Any takers?
(Yes, we've checked all the rollers, etc. that handle the paper.)

Got a real email address? Or reply to this. As this is not a machine
specific newsgroup there is little point boring everyone else with the info.

Dooey.

Correct if I'm incorrect.
Doesn't the Frontier 370 process it's paper along the short axis or long
axis? Haven't worked on the 370 for the last four years. We have a few
Frontier 390's and it's very similar.
My first iclination is that it's a scanner problem. Trying cleaning the
scanner very well. This includes the light box, the upper and lower side of
the scanner. I'm pretty sure its the scanner if the line is a straight line.
Is the line also coloured at times or is it a white sharp line?
If the laser has been replaced it may be electronic noise.
Lots of daily experience with the Frontier systems here.

Could be dirt on the holder that holds the item being scanned...that
needs to be kept clean.
