Film/Paper Question

I have been asked to take photos of my aunt's 80th. birthday party in a few
weeks. The party will be held outdoors, and I will be using a lot of
fill-flash. I have just about every color negative and black & white film ever
made from every manufacturer in the last 10+ (both 35mm and APS) in my freezer
(well over 300 rolls). It's a big hobby of mine, and I love to try new films (I
guess I tend to carried away...lol). I have two local photo labs that do
excellent work, one uses a Fuji Frontier and Fuji Crystal Archive paper, and
the other an Agfa machine (non-digital) and Agfa Prestige Paper. I'd like an
opinion on what film and camera I should use. I have an Nikon Pronea 6i APS SLR
w/Nikkor 20-60ix zoom, and a Nikon N60 w/Nikkor 50 1.8 and Sigma 28-200 zoom.
I'd be using a Nikon SB-23 Speedlight with either for fill-flash. I think I've
narrowed down the film to Fuji Reala, Fuji Superia 200, Kodak Gold 100, Kodak
Royal Gold 100, Kodak High Definition 400, Agfa Ultra 100, Agfa Vista 400, or
Fuji F-100 (APS, that was the very fined-grained version that's no longer
produced). I guess that's not really narrowing it down! Some of the photo's
will probably be enlarged to about 8x10 or so, and the longevity of the paper
is important to me, as this is a one-time event that I'd like to document for
generations to come. So...what camera, what film, and does anyone have any info
on the longevity of Fuji Crystal Archive vs. Agfa Prestige? I'm trying to stay
away from Kodak paper, as I've read that it's not as archival as Agfa or Fuji.
Thanks for any help!

Martin Luther King Jr said
"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true
meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all
men are created equal."

and their creed became, I REFUSE TO DREAM

and when we REFUSE TO DREAM? when we go on a strike? when we propose
laissez faire with respect to what we control? WELL, you see the story of
laissez faire changes quick, immediately there is not a hands-off policy,
and we are forced back to work, via anti-strike legislations, Taft-Hartley
acts, etc., not only are we not allowed to dream our dream, we are forced
to keep dreaming their's, we are niether allowed to dream or not dream,
and such is how Pharoah robs a man of his asylum in himself, and sets up
Pharoah as man's only asylum (http://www.mysolution.ws/cabal.htm)

If you want long term stability B&W film and paper is the best choice in my opinion.
However thats not the question, I would chose the film with the best speed that
you can do, tightest grain and best color.

My counter question is where did you read that Kodak color papers
are less archival? On the Fuji or Agfa website?

Thanks for the advice. Actually, I think I read it in either a recent Newsweek
or U.S. News article while waiting in my doctor's office. It was an article
about the "digital photo revolution" or something to that effect. It was
comparing some of the pros and cons with traditional photography, and on of the
comparison charts had some name brand inkjet papers vs. traditional photo
papers in regard to archival properties. The two traditional photo papers they
used for comparisom Were Fuji Crystal Archive (it was either 120 or 160 yrs.,
as I remember), and Kodak Edge 8 (26 yrs.) before any visually noticeable
fading occurs. The results were based on accelerated ageing tests conducted by
Wilhelm Research.
Ten301 - 27 Jul 2003 15:28 GMT
I'm sorry, my memory wasn't correct in my last post. I re-checked, and the
numbers were Fuji Crystal Archive (65 yrs.) Kodak Edge 8 (26 yrs.) Still,
that's a huge difference.
